Safe Passing Bill to Improve Public Safety
Governor Murphy recently signed the NJ Safe Passing Bill which provides all motorists with clear, enforceable guidelines about when and how to pass pedestrians and people on bicycles, scooters, skateboards and other conveyances.
The bill is designed to reduce accidents and fatalities. New Jersey had the eighth highest number of pedestrian deaths in the country in 2020.
